Job Description

At Regeneron, we use science and innovation to develop life-changing medicines for people with serious diseases. Regeneron is currently seeking multiple 2027 Interns in Antibody Discovery & Protein Sciences teams. These groups discover, engineer, characterize, and develop antibodies, protein therapeutics, and biologic platforms that support the earliest stages of drug discovery. Teams may focus on antibody engineering, protein expression, cell line development, bioassays, protein characterization, conjugation technologies, and therapeutic protein research.

These positions offer the opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing, science-driven organization making a meaningful difference to patients worldwide.

When & where:

Location: Tarrytown, NY

Timeframe: Our internship positions are full-time and onsite from May/June-August

Pay: Intern and Co-op pay ranges are determined by level of education (year in school) and degree program. The hourly rate range for these locations is: $17.90-$50.90 per hour.

What you'll do:

  • Work with the scientists who find and characterize new antibody and protein therapies — the earliest stages of drug discovery.
  • Projects may include developing and running assays to screen and evaluate antibodies, measuring how strongly proteins bind their targets (using methods such as SPR and BLI), expressing and purifying proteins, building and improving cell lines, attaching drugs or labels to antibodies (called conjugation), and making discovery platforms faster and more automated.
  • Most projects are hands-on lab work combined with data analysis and presenting results to the team; some are independent projects you design with guidance.
  • Basic lab skills (pipetting, making solutions and dilutions, aseptic technique) are helpful; experience with cell culture, ELISA, or flow cytometry is a plus. Some projects need more, some less. A few projects are better suited to graduate students.

Relevant majors: Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering

Let's find out if we're a fit:

  • Demonstrated leadership in areas such as campus activities, clubs, sports, current or previous work, or within the community preferred
  • Must be enrolled in, or accepted to, an academic program pursuing an Undergraduate or Graduate degree (and be returning to school the semester following the position or graduating after the position)
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
