Candidates must be able to hold and maintain a security clearance, therefore U.S. citizenship is required. 

Responsibilities

• Experience developing software in Rust. 

• Experience developing software on Linux. 

• Experience with Docker or containerized applications. 

• Experience with GitLab, GitHub, or similar software development platforms. 

• Experience with CI/CD or automated build and test pipelines. 

• Experience with automated unit or integration testing. 

• Experience with networking or network-security software through coursework, projects, internships, research, or other relevant experience. 

• Experience developing REST APIs, backend services, or web applications. 

• Familiarity with TCP/IP, UDP, TLS, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, routing, NAT, and VPN technologies. 

• Familiarity with cryptography, including encryption, hashing, public/private keys, certificates, and PKI. 

• Familiarity with Linux networking tools such as ip, ss, ping, tcpdump, and Wireshark. 

• Familiarity with authentication and authorization, including OIDC or OAuth 2.0. 

• Familiarity with multithreaded, concurrent, or asynchronous programming. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 

• Demonstrated understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, testing, debugging, error handling, and maintainable software design. 

• Experience developing software in Rust, Java, C++, or another strongly typed programming language, through coursework, internships, research, personal projects, or other relevant experience. 

• Familiarity with Linux and command-line tools. 

• Familiarity with Git and source-control concepts. 

• Understanding of fundamental computer networking concepts, including IP addressing, TCP, UDP, and client/server communication. 

• Experience developing software collaboratively, including working with others on code and incorporating code review feedback. 

• Demonstrated ability to learn new programming languages, technologies, and development tools. 

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. 

• Effective written and verbal communication skills. 

• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance; therefore, U.S. citizenship is required.
