Job Description

Our team keeps restaurant technology running — from the mobile apps guests order on, to the Kubernetes-based edge systems in restaurants, to the networks and lab environments we build on. We’re looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to be the front line for the support requests that come our way every day while helping us continually improve how that support is delivered through automation, tooling, and engineering.
This is a hands-on role with real breadth. You’ll work across cloud platforms, Kubernetes, enterprise networking, Linux systems, APIs, automation, and mobile device management — often in the same week. It’s an ideal fit for someone early in their career who enjoys solving technical problems, is naturally curious, and wants exposure to a wide variety of modern infrastructure technologies instead of specializing on day one.
We’ll invest in your growth. You bring the curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

Support & Operations - Execute mobile application deployments and troubleshoot deployment issues. - Diagnose and resolve issues in lab and testing environments. - Configure and troubleshoot network devices, primarily switches. - Investigate and resolve issues involving Kubernetes applications, Linux systems, networking, and supporting infrastructure. - Proactively monitor restaurant technology systems and coordinate responses when issues arise. - Work with internal engineering and IT teams to troubleshoot production and development issues. - Participate in a shared on-call rotation after training. Most after-hours issues are resolved quickly using documented procedures, with senior engineers available for escalation whenever needed.
Engineering & Automation - Build automations, scripts, and internal tools that reduce repetitive work. - Develop middleware and integrations between internal systems using APIs. - Use AI-assisted development to accelerate scripting, troubleshooting, and documentation. - Improve monitoring, observability, and operational tooling. - Document recurring issues and contribute to runbooks and knowledge sharing. - Continuously look for opportunities to eliminate manual work through automation.

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who:
•    Enjoys solving technical puzzles and finding root causes instead of quick fixes
•    Is comfortable working in Linux, macOS, or WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux) command-line environments
•    Learns independently and shares knowledge with teammates
•    Communicates clearly with both technical and non-technical partners
•    Accepts feedback professionally and continuously improves
•    Takes ownership of problems instead of waiting to be directed
•    Uses modern AI tools to accelerate learning, scripting, troubleshooting, and documentation
•    Enjoys improving systems instead of simply supporting them
•    Has strong troubleshooting instincts and can methodically investigate technical problems

Any experience with the following is a plus. We don’t expect candidates to know everything, and we’ll help you grow in the areas that are new.
•    Linux administration
•    Git
•    CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) pipelines
•    Python, Bash, Go, or similar scripting languages
•    REST APIs
•    Kubernetes and containerized applications
•    Azure and/or AWS
•    Enterprise networking and switch configuration
•    Monitoring and observability platforms
•    Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms
