Job Description

As a Security Officer / EMT - Steel Mill in Jackson, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service. Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and/or emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, access points, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel when needed.
• Complete detailed activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation while communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess EMT certification.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
