The Opportunity

AnthroMed Education is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support a high school in Ypsilanti, MI, three days per week. This is a great opportunity for an SLP looking for a manageable part-time schedule within a district that is actively investing in inclusive practices and student support.

The caseload will include students in cross-categorical resource programs, while also providing opportunities to support students within the general education setting. There are no dedicated ASD classrooms at this building. Some students may use AAC, and the district has an AAC consultant available to provide additional support and expertise.

An Occupational Therapist will also be joining the building, creating an opportunity for strong collaboration between related service providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language services to high school students across cross-categorical resource and general education settings.
• Complete evaluations, develop and implement IEP goals, and provide progress monitoring.
• Provide individualized and small-group speech-language therapy based on student needs.
• Collaborate with general education and special education teachers, school psychologists, families, and other members of the student support team.
• Support students with a variety of communication needs, including students who may utilize AAC.
• Utilize the district's AAC consultant as a resource when needed.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to a collaborative, student-centered environment.
• Support inclusive opportunities for students with disabilities throughout the school day.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Michigan SLP license or eligibility for Michigan licensure.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship eligibility.
• Experience working with school-aged students preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• A student-centered approach and commitment to inclusive education.
