Job Description:
The Associate Engineer supports Powerplant Engineering by providing engineering expertise that supports the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of Southwest’s fleet. They’ll develop engine maintenance work instructions, provide technical evaluations, and support specialized engine and component repairs, modifications, and troubleshooting activities. They’ll partner with Technical Operations Teams to interpret maintenance requirements and provide engineering justification for approved deviations in accordance with established standards and procedures. The Associate Engineer leverages strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to support maintenance programs, improve reliability, and contribute to the continued success of Southwest’s Technical Operations organization.
