Lazard Wealth has experienced significant growth over the last several years. As growth continues, we are looking for someone to step into the role of fund accountant for the marketable funds and private equity vehicles. The position has meaningful exposure to many aspects of the business and will report directly to the Vice President and Co-Head of Family Office Services.

  • Enter and maintain underlying investment and investor data within the firm's data warehouse, supporting accurate portfolio reporting, analytics, and recordkeeping.
  • Prepare quarterly investment-overview materials and capital-account reporting for a multi-tier private equity fund structure, supporting investor reporting and portfolio monitoring.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of fund financial statements and capital accounts, helping ensure timely, accurate, and consistent financial and investor reporting.
  • Oversee fund treasury operations, including the preparation and execution of capital calls and investor distributions, cash management, and related reporting.
  • Assist with annual fund audits by coordinating requested documentation, supporting audit testing, and liaising with external auditors to facilitate a timely and efficient audit process.
  • Manage relationships with external tax preparers, coordinating information requests and monitoring deliverables to support the timely completion of fund tax filings and investor tax reporting.
  • Review investor Schedule K-1s, tax estimates, and annual fund tax returns for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with underlying financial and partnership records.
  • Assist with fund forecasts and expense analyses, providing financial insights to support budgeting, cash planning, and management reporting.
  • Respond to ad hoc information requests from internal stakeholders, service providers, and investors, delivering accurate and timely data, analyses, and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with compliance and regulatory filings by preparing supporting schedules, coordinating data collection, and helping ensure submissions were complete and timely.
  • Participate in internal initiatives.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • Relevant internship experience in accounting/financial services.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).
  • Knowledge of Addepar (a plus).
  • Experience with AI.
  • Ability to multitask with good time management skills to meet multiple reporting deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Thorough and meticulous with extreme focus on details.
