60% FTE, Monday - Friday, 2 - 12 hour shifts, 7:00pm - 7:30am with holiday on call and in house responsibilities. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will be working at American Family Children's Hospital in Madison, WI.

We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Inpatient Pediatric Operating Room team. In this specialized role, you will provide high‑quality perioperative nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents undergoing surgical procedures. You’ll collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, techs, and Child Life specialists to ensure safe, patient‑centered care throughout the surgical experience.

  • Serve as a pediatric circulating nurse which includes 6 OR suites, 2 procedural suites, and 1 hybrid OR.
  • Maintain a sterile and safe operating room environment, ensuring compliance with all safety and infection control standards.
  • Advocate for pediatric patients and their families, offering emotional support, education, and clear communication.

 Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
Work Experience
  • 6 months of relevant clinical experience Required
  • Clinical operating room experience Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
  • Registration as a professional nurse in the state of Wisconsin Upon Hire Required
  • CPR certification Upon Hire Required
  • ACLS certification Preferred
  • PALS certification Preferred
