This position pays $14.00 per hour.

Job Description

Basic Purpose   

Under the general supervision of lodge management, Banquet Staff supports the execution of events from setup to breakdown, ensuring all operational details are handled smoothly. They will work closely with internal departments and external guests and vendors while performing hands-on duties like setup, troubleshooting, and service during events.  

Typical Job Duties 

  • Complete event set-up for groups including tables, chairs and linens.  
  • Understand and identify the requirements for each event.  
  • Assist during event operations.  
  • Troubleshoot issues that may come up at events and ensure that management is notified and consulted if necessary.   
  • Ensure open and respectful communication with guests and vendors.   
  • Provide service during events, addressing needs such as setup, trash removal, linen service and audio-visual equipment support.   
  • Ensure superior guest experience by communicating client requirements in a timely and accurate manner to all internal departments as required.  
  • Maintain clear and accurate communication and follow-up with internal teams and guest/vendors.  
  • Other duties as assigned.  

Minimum Qualifications   

  • Must be at least 16 years of age.  
  • Possess excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.   
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand and walk for extended periods, and lift and fold tables and chairs during a set up with or without reasonable accomodation. Must be able to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions, including prolonged exposure to heat, humidity, sun, and wind  

Special Requirements   

  • Scheduled hours will require flexibility, including holidays, weekends, or events, based on the needs of the agency.
