Provide basic guidance on equipment use and proper exercise form
Ensure a clean, safe, and organized workout environment
Enforce safety guidelines and YMCA policies
Build positive relationships that encourage member retention and satisfaction

POSITION SUMMARY
The Fitness Floor Attendant working as part of the Health and Wellbeing Team, will deliver world-class customer service and relationship building skills to create a welcoming environment at the YMCA. The incumbent will also exhibit the core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility in all aspects of their work with the YMCA.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Greet and check in with members; build relationships
Assist members with basic concerns and questions including class and program offerings
Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the fitness center
Report on any equipment outages
Fill the paper towel dispensers/wipes, and refill cleaning fluid
Proactively clean areas to ensure cleanliness and safety e.g., towels, trash, etc.
Maintain fitness tools as appropriate e.g., inflate fit balls, check exercise bands/tubes
Set up orientation appointments
Attend all training courses, staff meetings and in-services without exception
Be knowledgeable and supportive of the YMCA annual support campaign, and general procedures and policies, including personnel guidelines, facility access procedures, membership policies, and emergency plans
