Job Description

As a Security Officer Building Patrol Operations in Hunt Valley, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. In this unarmed patrol role at a technology-focused location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, laboratories, parking areas, entry points, and the facility perimeter to help identify unusual activity and report observations.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization according to site procedures, and assist with directing guests to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document activities and promptly communicate concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Complete detailed activity reports, maintain awareness of changing conditions throughout the location, and support a professional environment for personnel and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
