Job Description

This position will provide support to the Financial Planning & Analysis team in carrying out a variety of finance initiatives and functions. The role requires a highly organized person who demonstrates a keen attention to detail, proficiency with Excel, comfort working with data sets to surface insights, a foundational understanding of financial concepts, and strong communication skills.

What You'll Be Working On:

  • Support the development and maintenance of financial models used for forecasting and business planning
  • Assist in the ongoing monitoring and analysis of key metrics and business trends, with regular updates provided to the broader finance team
  • Assist with the preparation of weekly reporting that highlights operational results, forecasts, and business plans across the company's various divisions and subsidiaries
  • Support the development of budgets, business plans, and forecasts for Care.com and its business units.
  • Help identify operational issues and contribute to recommending solutions
  • Support the FP&A team to meet all internal and external deadlines.
  • Assist with adhoc projects as appropriate

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or an equivalent quantitative major
  • 1–2 years of experience in a finance or analytics role in a corporate environment
  • Experience in the tech industry, management consulting, or investment banking is a plus
  • Experience working with financial models, and a desire to develop that skill further
  • Foundational understanding of finance, accounting, economics, and statistics
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office products, particularly Excel
  • Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines

Salary Range: $75,000 – $85,000.

The base salary range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Care.com's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and short- and long-term incentives. In addition, Care.com provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a generous 401K employer matching program, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
