Job Description

Are you passionate about storytelling and bringing a brand to life through social media? As a Social Media Specialist in our Advanced Surgical division, you’ll play a key role in shaping how we show up across global social platforms by translating business priorities into engaging, high-quality content that connects with our audiences.

In this role, you’ll own the day-to-day execution of our organic social presence, from planning and publishing to performance tracking and optimization. You’ll collaborate closely with campaign managers, content creators, and regional teams to ensure every post aligns to broader campaigns and drives meaningful engagement.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Owns business-unit organic social execution, including content calendars, scheduling, and publishing cadence across approved platforms.

  • Writes, edits, and adapts social copy using approved messaging and content standards.

  • Coordinates review and approval workflows to ensure compliance with internal standards.

  • Aligns social posts to campaign milestones, landing pages, and conversion goals in partnership with campaign managers.

  • Maintains global social governance, including naming conventions, UTM use for trackable links, asset control, and platform best practices.

  • Monitors and reports on performance, including reach, engagement, clicks, and video views, and contributes recommendations for improvement.

  • Supports regional execution by sharing templates, recommended copy, and content packages for localization.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • 0–2 years of marketing experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience

  • Strong written communication skills and attention to detail

  • Working knowledge of social platforms, content calendars, and social analytics

Preferred Requirements

  • Degree concentration in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, or related field

  • Experience managing organic social calendars, copywriting, and social publishing/reporting

  • Experience supporting regulated, healthcare, or B2B commercial content environments

  • Sprout Social Admin experience

This is a remote position with up to 20% travel.

Disclosure as required by applicable law, the annual salary range for this position is $59,000- $88,000. The actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education and skill level. The salary range is CONMED’s good faith belief at the time of this posting.
