Job overview and responsibilities

Responsible for operational data collation and analysis, partnering with diverse functional analytics teams and business leaders at all levels of the organization. Enhances decision-making by transforming data into actionable insights related to process, productivity, strategic initiatives, program management, and operational performance, efficiency, and reliability and then by embedding those insights into the company’s operations. Plays a key role in uncovering trends and root causes, and utilizing analytics to drive business transformation.

  • Support development of high-quality visual presentations, ad hoc analyses, dashboards, tools, and reports for teams both within and outside of Air Ops.
  • Contribute to the automation, creation, and continuous improvement of operational reports, processes, models, and analyses.
  • Communicate updates and actionable outcomes with easy-to-interpret visualizations and practical recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional analytics and business groups to integrate data-driven insights into business operations, enhance decision-making, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Translate business requirements and generate actionable insights into drivers of operational performance through root cause analysis, business knowledge, modeling, and statistical techniques.
  • Focus is on optimizing key areas such as reliability, planning, and execution.

NOTE: This position is based at the CSC-Willis Tower in Chicago IL and considered as a hybrid work-schedule working 3 days in-office (Tue-Thu), however that may evolve with the needs of the company.

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

·       Bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics, Engineering, or other Quantitative/Analytical discipline

·       +1 year(s) of work experience which may include completion of at least one internship in an airline-related field or work experience in an analytical role

·       Experience in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and Powerpoint

·       Experience in methods of querying and manipulating data (i.e. SQL, Python, Foundry, etc.)

·       Data visualization skills using one or more reporting tools (i.e. Spotfire, Tableau, PowerBI, ThinkCell, Excel, etc.)

·       Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to work cross-functionally

·       Must be willing and able to travel 5-10% domestic at our Hubs and Line Stations

·       Must be willing and able to work a hybrid work schedule 3 days in-office at the CSC-Wills Tower in Chicago, IL

·       Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

·       Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

·       Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

The base pay range for this role is $53,960.00 to $70,334.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
