Job Description

Associate assists with research, presentations, proposals, communication, and administrative functions in the Business Development and Corporate Partnerships department. This position will manage several projects simultaneously, while supporting Business Development and special projects for Corporate Marketing.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field required.

  • Minimum one year of experience in marketing, advertising, or public relations required. Specific sports marketing or sales experience preferred.

  • Must possess intermediate level Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills. Experience with graphics preferred.

  • Experience cold calling and prospecting potential clients to generate new business.

  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

  • Assist in the development of various sponsorship relationships that generate revenue, build the PGA TOUR brand, provide player benefits, and enhance the fan experience, including: official marketing partnerships, title sponsorships, and other new corporate relationships.

  • Support sellers throughout entirety of sales process (defined below).

  • Implement Sales Operations deal process to help expedite overall deal timeline (initial meeting to contract signature).

  • Navigate PGA TOUR partnerships landscape, understanding TOUR assets / value proposition, and build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders.

  • Deal Process – Implement Sales Operations deal process to help expedite overall deal timeline (initial meeting to contract signature):

  • Prospecting

    • Work with Product Innovation and Strategy team to support overall lead generation and prospecting process.

  • Presentation Development

    • Develop customized presentations for sellers based on company objectives, strategic goals, etc.

  • Proposals

    • Develop and draft customized proposals for prospective partners.

    • Responsible for communications with key internal stakeholders throughout sales process (e.g., finance, legal, corporate partnerships, Tournament Business Affairs).

    • Responsible for any follow-up documents needed during negotiation.

  • Contract Stage

    • Once verbal agreement is reached responsible for filling out Deal Summary and routing to key internal stakeholders.

    • Work with legal team to develop initial draft of contract that is routed for internal review.

    • Seller maintains lead on negotiations with S/O team involved through signature.

    • Assist in transition to Account Management Team.

  • Deal Close

    • Internal correspondence with key stakeholders regarding deal closer and announcement plans.

  • Potential for light administrative support to the Business Development team, as needed.

  • Special projects or other duties as assigned.
