About you and this role

Diamond Infrastructure Solutions’ Public Affairs Organization is looking for exceptional students who are passionate about people and interested in contributing as an Intern in a company known for its creativity, talent, and inclusive culture. 

Diamond Infrastructure Solutions (“Diamond”) Public Affairs Internship is designed to give qualifying college students experience within Public Affairs at a newly formed and fast-growing infrastructure-focused business, owned by a global leader and Fortune 100 Company-Dow Chemical.  

During the internship, the candidate will lead a project that has direct applicability to Diamond’s PA strategy. Projects are designed to be challenging while building on individual interests and passions. Both technical and business degrees will enjoy purposeful work while developing skills such as business acumen, interpersonal skills, time, and project management.

Participant will have a Project Mentor and needed resources to successfully navigate their project. They will be expected to work individually as well as in a team environment for maximum productivity, and will have the opportunity to visit one or several Diamond-owned industrial sites. Participants will regularly interact with professionals of varying levels of positions, tenure, experience, and expertise. Throughout the internship, participants will be given coaching and feedback to grow and develop their skills. 

Successful interns will be considered for full-time employment in Diamond’s PA or Dow's PA Program post-graduation.  

Qualifications

  • Rising Freshman, Sophomore, Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing or a related field. Candidates enrolled in a master’s degree program will also be considered. 
  • Minimum GPA of 3.000 (4.000 scale) is preferred. 
  • A minimum requirement for a U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Additional Notes 

  • The role is hybrid, with the successful candidate contributing both from virtual and on-site locations will be based out of Diamond Infrastructure Solutions Headquarters in Houston (TX). 
  • Personal transportation when commuting to the office is preferred but public transportation options are available in Houston.
