Job Description:

The Predoctoral Psychology Intern is a doctoral-level student psychologist who works within various job contexts of the CoxHealth system, under the supervision of a Licensed Psychologist. Primary patient-care competencies are to provide assessment and treatment services to individuals in the inpatient or outpatient settings.
  • Education
    • Required: Good standing in capstone year of doctoral psychology program arranging to graduate with a Doctorate in clinical, counseling psychology or other eligible degree from an APA-Approved program within 18 months.
  • Experience
    • Preferred:  previous clinical experience in practicum or internship. 
  • Skills
    • Able to conduct assessment and treatment of patients in area(s) of assigned operations.
    • Able to integrate work activities into multidisciplinary team environment
    • Carry out essential functions of the job with potential expansion of responsibility.
    • Familiar with age specific needs for patient populations served.
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration
    • Preferred: Licensed Professional Counselor
