Job Overview:
This role will focus on market research and mapping, and on the identification, evaluation, and qualification of potential acquisition opportunities. The ideal candidate will be curious, analytical, and methodical. You should be capable of finding and using public and propriety information effectively, and efficiently and to be able to deduce conclusions. You will need to be a fast learner and be able to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Research &:
Conduct comprehensive research on specific industries and verticals, and competitive landscapes to help identify, categorise, and qualify potential acquisition targets.
Track industry-specific M&A activity, investment trends, and potential disruptors.
Company Profiling & Opportunity Identification
Develop in-depth profiles of potential acquisition targets.
Assess the strategic fit of potential targets, considering factors such as technology, customer base, and market share.
Support in Strategic Planning:
Collaborate with the Business Development and M&A teams to develop and refine the company’s acquisition strategy and market expansion plans.
Assist in the preparation of strategic roadmaps and plans.
Reporting & Communication:
Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and executive summaries to communicate research findings.
Present research and analysis to internal stakeholders, highlighting potential opportunities and risks.
Collaboration & Networking:
Work closely with internal teams.
Qualifications Required:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field or equivalent qualification.
Experience: Could suit a recent graduate or anyone who has had experience in a similar field
Technical Skills:
Strong computer and Excel skills.
Industry Knowledge:
Knowledge of the software industry and familiarity with M&A processes would be an advantage.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex research into clear, actionable strategies.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
FLSA Designation (US Only):
ExemptSalary Range:
The estimated base salary range for this role is USD$45,900.00 - USD$56,100.00 per year. We include salary ranges in job postings only where required by applicable pay transparency laws, based on the jurisdictions in which the role may be performed. The posted range is a good faith estimate and reflects factors that are subject to change. Final offer amounts may vary based on job-related factors, including work location, candidate experience and expertise, and other relevant considerations.Other Compensation (US Only):
This role will also be eligible for participation in a Company profit sharing bonus plan. Plan details will be provided to you upon hire.Benefits (US Only):
