Job Description

Parts Coordinator - Texas First Rentals

Department: Texas First Rentals (TFR)

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: TFR - South Austin



Description

Assists the Service/Parts Department by ordering, monitoring, and maintaining stock levels, maintaining purchasing records, and cross-referencing shipments received with corresponding purchase orders. Directs the daily operations of the parts department to support company goals. 
The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices daily: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.



Essential Functions

  • Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
  • Assists mechanics in looking up and ordering parts by utilizing manuals, parts breakdown materials, and online methods
  • Receives and inventories incoming parts
  • Maintains accurate inventory and parts distribution to mechanics
  • Restocks inventory as needed
  • Maintains accurate and timely inventory control documents and paperwork
  • Operates company vehicle to pick up and deliver parts locally, safely
  • Optimizes equipment uptime by effectively managing the parts inventory and tracking all expenses
  • Approves parts orders within assigned threshold
  • Maintains all parts warranty, return claims processes and prepares parts returns
  • Receives shipments of merchandise and cross-references with purchase orders
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, rules, and regulations in written or verbal form
  • Demonstrates behaviors within Company’s Core Values in all interactions with customers, coworkers, and vendors
  • Attends department, store, and safety meetings and performs all other duties as requested
  • Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
  • Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must be detailed oriented
  • Must have good driving history and valid driver license and be able to operate company vehicle
  • Must be comfortable speaking on the telephone and using a computer for inventory control
  • Must be able to use mathematics to solve problems and calculate purchasing prices
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with others to include team and clients
  • Must be able to provide, understand, and complete instructions furnished in written, oral, or scheduled form



Requirements

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma required
  • Minimum one year of experience in a Parts or Service-related role
  • Knowledge of construction equipment preferred

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to move objects, and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue
  • Significant amount of time standing and walking
  • Minimal amount of time kneeling, crouching, stooping, climbing, crawling, balancing, and reaching
  • Constant movement and use of hands, this position requires good manual dexterity
  • Communicates with customers, service managers, and coworkers
  • Routinely reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work
  • Occasionally lifts and moves materials and equipment up to 65 lbs
Work Environment:
  • Regularly works indoors
  • Occasionally outdoors, under cover
  • Exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable
  • Works in an enclosed and open vehicle or equipment
  • Requires wearing common protective or safely equipment
