We are looking for individuals who have basic accounting experience and want to take their career to the next level by joining our tax team and developing their technical expertise in the tax arena. We have been growing over the last few years and are now a firm of about 80+ people, so there are plenty of opportunities for mentorship, growth, and technical development.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.

A PLUS IF YOU HAVE

• 1 - 2 years of experience preparing individual and corporate tax returns.
• 1 - 2 years of experience performing basic bookkeeping, bank reconciliations,dataand journal entries.
• Experience working inpublicaccounting or a professional services organization.
• Experience calculating and filling Sales and Payroll Taxes is a plus.
• Proven ability to handle a high-volume workload ata high levelof efficiency.
• Master's Degree in Accountingand/or Tax
• CPA License or CPA Candidate
• ProficiencywithQuickbooks.
• Proficiencywith Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with CCH Axcess and Engagement.

WITHIN 1 MONTH, YOU'LL

• Complete new hire orientation and onboarding.
• Complete introductory training.
• Begin learning our tax software, as well as undergoQuickbookstraining.
• Begin growing your internal network by meeting with Supervisors, Managers, and Partners.
• Start your first tax return!

WITHIN 6 MONTHS, YOU'LL

• Learn the "why" behind the steps of tax preparation to begin building your consultative skill set.
• Support senior staff on client engagements, including planning, executing, directing, and completing tax projects.
• Learn to manage and work within the allotted budget to meet deadlines and client expectations.
• Learn how to prepare individual, corporate, and partnership income tax returns.
• Learn to apply basic accounting knowledge to tax preparation.
• Learn to prepare and calculate estimated tax payments.

WITHIN 12 MONTHS, YOU'LL

• Learn to respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities.
• Learn to research tax issues and document this research in tax memos or client letters.
• Mentor interns in the tax department.
