POSITION DESCRIPTION:  Too facilitate in the manufacture of quality friction brake products by supporting the production in making sure that all machines are operating in top condition.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned: 

  • Plan and implementation of new manufacturing processes. Work with design engineering to make sure that all machine parts are available according to schedule. 
  • Improve manufacturing process and help increase manufacturing capacity by reviewing issues, investigating improvement ideas, implementing the improvement plan and evaluating the effectiveness.
  • Set up manufacturing condition by reviewing product drawing and specifications, programing machines to meet production requirements.
  • Maintain the function of all machinery to help prevent downtime.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: 

  • Follow all safety guidelines with special emphasis on correct lifting procedures
  • Strict adherence to 5S concept
  • Notify supervisor should problems with dies occur.
  • Follow work order system

Education and/or Experience:  High School Diploma or equivalent required.  Minimum of 1+ years of experience with tooling & dies.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work environment involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions (e.g., working around moving machines in production facilities) and protective clothing or gear such as safety glasses, gloves and safety shoes is required.
