As an Associate R&D Engineer, you will join a collaborative and innovative team in Pittsburgh, PA, contributing to the development of orthopedic solutions that help improve outcomes for patients around the world.
 

What will you be doing?

  • Supporting the research, design and testing of medical devices within our orthopedic portfolio

  • Preoperatively planning surgical cases for knee, hip and shoulder replacement procedures

  • Working directly with orthopedic surgeons and sales partners to support clinical and technical needs

  • Collaborating closely with Preoperative Planning and Robotics teams on assigned projects

  • Contributing to new product development, product enhancements and product line extensions

  • Identifying and recommending improvements to design, manufacturing and evaluation processes

  • Participating in project and departmental meetings to support delivery of objectives

What will you need to be successful?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline

  • 0 to 2 years of experience using 3D CAD and programming tools such as UG NX, SolidWorks or Python

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured and detail focused approach

  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate clearly in written and verbal formats
