Job Description

Madison Regional Health System is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to be a part of the Madison Regional Health System mission: Committed to providing quality healthcare, close to home.

Our Occupational Therapist is an essential part of our Rehab team and is responsible for caring for patients ranging in age from infant to geriatric, evaluating patient abilities and, together with our patients, develop effective treatment plans to restore, maintain, or prevent the decline of patient function. They do this by planning and administering medically prescribed occupational therapy in accordance with federal, state, and professional standards governing the hospital. Settings include Home Health, inpatient, outpatient, pediatric. Excellent customer service, attention to detail, great telephone etiquette, computer knowledge, and the ability to multi-task in pressure/stressful situations are essential. The successful candidate must be a graduate Bachelor, Masters, or Doctorate degree) from an American Occupation Therapy Association accredited school of Occupational Therapy who is eligible to obtain or currently have a Occupational Therapy license in South Dakota. CPR certification required.

The Occupational Therapist works Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. The working conditions will be in a clean, well-lighted area, with occasional sitting, standing, kneeling, bending, stooping, and frequent repetitive motion of the hands/wrists involved. Exposure to infectious diseases, body fluids, odors and dusts. Will be required to operate general rehab equipment.
