Job Overview

The Laboratory Technician role is an important position that directly contributes to the efficiency and quality of our QC operations. Essential duties include the following daily tasks:

  • 50% Daily Cleaning and organizing the laboratory glassware, remove liquid and solid waste generated on QC.
  • 35% Preparation of solutions as requested and analysis of packaging materials.
  • 15% Logging and Organizing the chemicals in the racks and maintaining cleanliness of Lab.

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning and organizing the Laboratory Glassware.
  • Removal of liquid and solid waste from the containers/waste receptacles and transfer to the designated area.
  • Organizing the reagents in the racks as per the requirement.
  • Providing the laboratory requirements such as paper towels on each Aisle, replacing empty glove boxes, clean and dry glassware etc. as and when supplies are exhausted. 
  • Maintaining the general cleanliness of the Analytical lab. 
  • Assisting the analyst with preparation of dissolution media, Mobile phase, seal wash, needle wash and other solutions as required. Documenting the preparations in the respective LIMS worksheets.
  • Testing of physical parameters on drug products and packaging materials after qualification.
  • Logging and organizing the received chemicals in the designated racks and removing the expired, near expiry chemicals and maintaining chemical/reagent inventory in LIMS.
  • Sampling of materials after training as and when required.
  • Procurement of chemicals and other laboratory resources in ERP as and when required.
  • Following the Quality Culture Principles and Behaviors outlined in the SOP (CQA-CP-GEN-0139) while executing all the above tasks
  • Act as a PCM Initiator in QMS.

Qualifications - Skills & Requirements

  • 1 year experience in pharmaceuticals would be preferred.
  • Experience with lab generated waste management.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma 

• 1 year experience pharmaceuticals would be preferable

Physical Requirements

LAB TECHNICIANS - Must be able to bend at the waist and knees as well as twist at the trunk. • Must practice good personal hygiene • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. • Must be able to wear laboratory protective gowning and equipment, including but not limited to gowning, goggles, face shields, respirators, and protective gloves. PPE and Respirators are essential for the health and safety of employees. • Position requires working in the laboratory as well as sitting
