Job Description

This position is responsible for timely procurement of quality materials, goods and services. The primary responsibility will be to procure parts to meet deadlines for new product introduction and current production.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Place purchase orders to fulfill MRP requirements.
  • Enter confirmation dates from supplier order acknowledgments.
  • Follow-up with suppliers on status of open orders and maintain current confirmation dates.
  • Identify and communicate any late deliveries confirmed by suppliers.
  • Execute kanban, consignment contracts, or supply agreements with suppliers.
  • Support inventory cycle count activities as required.
  • Place purchase orders for R&D materials as requested through the Procurement Log.
  • Place expedited purchased orders for materials as requested through the Procurement Log.
  • Support the communication, monitoring, and completion of Supplier Operating System Corrective Action Requirements (OSAR’s)

    Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

    • Hands-on utilization of MRP, kanban, cycle counting.
    • Internet utilization, electronic business to business experience
    • Professional written and verbal communication skills.

    Preferred Education/Training/Experience:

    • Associate’s degree or relevant certificate related to purchasing
    • 1 - 2 years’ experience in utilizing ERP systems for purchasing tasks
      • SAP experience preferred.
