Job Description:

Transporting and cleaning of all moveable medical equipment throughout medical campus. Managing inventory level to maintain stocking par levels. Performing basic equipment functional tests. Promote the safe use of clinical equipment and supports in the operation of continuous quality improvements.

Essential Functions:

  • Cleaning and transporting all moveable medical equipment throughout medical campus. 
  • Monitors all equipment inventory levels, stocking locations, and par levels. Notify appropriate repair tech when a malfunction occurs.
  • Scan barcode to update medical equipment locations.
  • Assist in developing training materials and provide training for the Mobile Medical Equipment.
  • Performing basic equipment functional tests.
  • Promotes the safe use of clinical equipment and seeks opportunities for the efficient management of clinical equipment. 
  • Use equipment tracking system to locate equipment, set up trackers/locators, and check par levels.
  • Provide assistance to other technicians and hospital departments.
  • Clean and transport of all specialty and rental beds throughout the medical campus.
  • Maintains compliance with all company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
  • Operate UofL Health vehicle to deliver, pick up, and clean equipment from other network hospitals and medical centers.
  • All other duties assigned.

Additional Job Description:

Education:

• High School diploma required

Experience:

• Some medical equipment experience preferred.

Licensure:

  • Maintain active driver’s license. (preferred)

Certification:

  • DOT certification. (preferred)

Computer Skills:

  • Basic computer software functions.
  • Ability to operate handheld scanning/computer devices.
