Responsibilities:

  • Assist in guiding the implementation of a comprehensive child development program that meets the Head Start definition of curriculum in all program options and settings to assigned children six weeks through three years of age.
  • Practice theories and sound principles of child and parent education in an environment in which children can develop personal relationships, experiment, make choices, solve problems, and develop age-appropriate social and self-help skills.
  • Plan and participate in parent education and parent involvement activities. Present as a clinical coordinator in developing and implementing service and individual treatments plans.

Requirements

Talents, skills, and abilities:

  • HS Diploma/GED/HiSET
  • Minimum CDA or willingness to begin obtainment of a CDA immediately upon hire and one year of experience in a licensed early childhood facility.
  • AA/AS or BA/BS Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field is preferred but not required. 60 hours of childcare training, experience with an evidence-based infant/toddler curriculum, and knowledge of Head Start/Early Head Start.
