Job Description

WHO is Sound Generations?

We are a comprehensive non-profit organization that serves older adults and people with disabilities in King County. Our mission is to partner with older adults to provide accessible and inclusive services so they can age their way.

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the Minor Home Repair Team in Seattle, WA!

What will YOU do?

The Maintenance Technician provides general maintenance to the homes of qualified homeowners utilizing working knowledge of several related skill fields such as electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.

 Pay Range: $30.74 - $31.12 per hour.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities 

  • Independently perform semi-skilled work in electrical, plumbing, and carpentry. 
  • Under the technical direction of a journey-level trades worker or the director of the program, perform skilled work in electrical, plumbing and carpentry.
  • Perform minor home repairs in the following categories: plumbing, electrical, carpentry and retrofit.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools and other equipment as needed.
  • Operate automotive equipment to transport materials and supplies. Maintain cleanliness of organization vehicles. Report all vehicle performance or safety issues to manager.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records. 
  • Comply with established safety guidelines and procedures. 

Requirements

  • High School Diploma OR Equivalent.
  • Must be at least 25 years old for insurance purposes.
  • Minimum of one (1) year related experience.
