Job Description

Benefits Coordinators Corporation (BCC) is a third-party employee benefits administrator and a leader in developing services designed to help our clients run more effective employee benefit programs. We have been experiencing growth and are currently adding a Benefits Administrator to the team. This is a great opportunity to start your career in a role where you can be trained by and work with some of the top experts in the industry.

In practice, the core activities of the job include:

  • Billing and administrative functions of Active, Retiree and COBRA benefits plans
  • Process enrollments, update carriers, handle status changes, and process documentation of insurability and carrier follow-ups
  • Analyze, interpret, and troubleshoot data across multiple systems to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies

Strengths and skills necessary for success in the role:

  • Previous experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook will be helpful
  • 1–2 years related office experience preferred
  • Prior benefits experience is preferred, however not required
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail paired with the ability to think critically and solve problems
  • Ability to identify inconsistencies, troubleshoot issues, and work through complex information

Additional context about the role:

This is not a transactional data entry position. The Benefits Administrator must be a critical thinker who can evaluate information and ask the right questions. The role requires navigating complex benefit scenarios, resolving discrepancies, and working proactively rather than simply entering data.
