Job Description

General Purpose:

Collaborate with other Scheduling Coordinators to meet client scheduling needs. Clearly, efficiently, and effectively communicate with caregivers, clinical staff, and clients regarding all aspects of scheduling (shift assignments, schedule changes, etc.). Required to work unassigned shifts to ensure clients do not experience a lapse in care. Must excel in time management, organizational, and communication (both verbal and written) skills.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage and plan caregiver schedules that meet client needs
  • Resolve last-minute scheduling issues, such as caregiver callouts
  • Will be required to be on call to resolve last-minute scheduling issues.
  • Maintain all client and caregiver files to the standards set forth in the company’s policy and procedure manuals
  • Will be required to work open shifts if unable to find coverage
  • Answer inquiries regarding policies, procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Performs data entry, retrieval, and data searches; and compiles and tabulates data
  • Will have access to personal health information (“PHI”) necessary to fulfill the above duties and responsibilities
  • Communicate schedule changes to caregivers and clients
  • Perform check-ins with caregivers (in person or via phone); assessing questions or concerns, scheduling needs, client fit, etc.
  • Attend daily check-in calls on weekdays, weekly staff meetings, and monthly caregiver meetings
  • Serve as the weekend on-call administrator approximately once per month
  • Completes other assignments as requested and assigned

Required Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of in-home caregiving experience

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Post-secondary education
  • Medical record experience
  • Preferences will be given to candidates with a CNA

  • Utilize computers and other relevant technology
  • Ability to learn company’s various software systems

Working Conditions & Physical Effort:

  • Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, but ability to work evening or weekend hours as needed
  • Must be able to make and receive calls at all hours with minimum interruptions
  • Ability to sit in front of a computer for long periods of time
  • Physical activity is sedentary and may require occasional lifting or carrying up to 10 lbs.
  • May be required to cover schedules on an emergency basis, if needed
