The Cell Operator is responsible for following work instructions to manage production, consumption, and balancing while performing frequent quality checks. They maintain cell organization via 5S and ensure all outbound racks meet customer specifications before leaving the line.

Qualifications

You have the ability to understand and follow all work instructions, perform required quality checks, and enter detailed information into hourly tracking. You are also expected to assist in staging, setting up, and properly closing racks, as well as checking outbound racks for quality issues.

Job Description

KEY TASKS

  • Understands and follows all work instructions and control plans
  • Complete all GMAPS responsibilities, including, but not limited to consumption, production, and balancing
  • Performs all quality checks per required frequencies
  • Performs all process relevant parameter checks; escalates out of parameter conditions to supervisor and process tech / engineer
  • Maintains 5S as well as offers suggestions to improve cell organization and layout
  • Keeps cell stocked with all necessary items and tools
  • Enters detailed information into hourly tracking in a timely fashion
  • Can assist in staging and setting up clave racks
  • Closes all racks properly according to standard work instructions
  • Checks all outbound racks for quality issues, including, but not limited to: trim quality, short vinyl, mismatch, and edge quality
  • Can complete elementary troubleshooting prior to calling maintenance or process tech

Can communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and process tech

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Understands all safety, quality, throughput and yield goals
  • Understands required PPE
  • Understands purpose of all lockouts and e-stops
  • Understands all customer related specifications and can make independent quality decisions
  • Can retrieve all key types of documents from the Department Index
  • Can read logos and assess correct content and clarity
  • Can perform all inspections, including 1st piece inspection
  • Can perform all individual jobs on final line (trim, inspection, and unload)
  • Can effectively coordinate, direct, and execute line change overs
  • Can manually move, jog, and home all robots
  • Ensures all racks are properly checked, packed, and secured prior to leaving the final line area.
