About the Role:

As a Leasing Consultant in the real estate and rental industry, you will play a pivotal role in connecting prospective tenants with available rental properties, ensuring a seamless leasing process from initial inquiry to lease signing. Your primary objective is to maximize occupancy rates by effectively marketing properties, conducting property tours, and addressing tenant questions and concerns with professionalism and clarity. You will collaborate closely with property management teams to maintain accurate records, process applications, and facilitate timely lease agreements. This role demands a proactive approach to meeting and exceeding sales goals while maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute directly to the financial success and reputation of the property management company or real estate firm you represent.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals in a customer-facing role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic knowledge of leasing laws and rental market practices in the United States.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in real estate leasing or property management.
  • Familiarity with property management software and CRM systems.
  • Additional certifications related to real estate or leasing.
  • Bilingual abilities to serve diverse tenant populations.
  • Demonstrated success in a high-volume leasing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and engage prospective tenants, providing detailed information about available rental properties and community amenities.
  • Conduct property tours, highlighting key features and addressing any questions or concerns to assist prospects in making informed decisions.
  • Process rental applications, verify applicant information, and coordinate lease signings in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, rental rates, and competitor offerings to effectively position properties and meet occupancy targets.
  • Collaborate with property management and maintenance teams to ensure properties are well-presented and ready for new tenants.
  • Utilize flexible scheduling to accommodate prospective tenants’ availability, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Track and report on leasing activity, sales goals, and occupancy metrics to management regularly.
