Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Registered Dental Assistant to perform a variety of duties within our dental practice and support dentists as they care for patients. This position will report to the Operations Manager.

This position will be at-will, meaning either the employer or the employee may terminate the employment at any time, with or without cause or prior notice.

Pay range: $25-$32/hr

Job Responsibilities

  • Create afriendly relationship with patients and parents as well as educating them on good oral health
  • Provide excellent chair-side assistance to doctor
  • Perform coronal polishing, apply topical fluoride and/or sealants, and remove orthodontic bands(per state laws and with required credentials/supervision)
  • Organize and sterilize dental instruments andworkstations per OSHA standards
  • Perform safe x-ray techniques and capture efficient and quality dental x-raysas prescribed by the dentist
  • Ensure practice is clean and presentable to patients to include cleaning restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, dusting etc.
  • Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental and orthodontic services to underserved children

Job Qualifications

  • Current Registered Dental Assistant license issued by the Dental Board of California
  • Travel between other local affiliated practices periodically for temporary assignments
  • Ability to multi-task and sometimes complete complex dental tasks correctly and on time
  • Bilingual and/or multilingual ability a plus
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Preferred knowledge of Dentrix, eClinical Works, Dolphin Database, Denta-Cal, Ortho 2, and Vision Revolution Accounting software
