Medical Assistant (MA) – Full-Time & Part-time | Afton, WY

We’re currently seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) to support our team in Afton, WY. Position Details - Open Positions: Urgent Care, Pain Management, Family Medicine, Orthopedics and Cardiology

Status: Full-time (36-40 hours/week), Part-time (24 hours/week)

Location: Afton, Wyoming. Some positions require travel with the team. 

Reports to: Clinic Manager

Compensation: Starting at $16.98/hour, based on experience and certification

What You’ll Do

As a Medical Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our providers and ensuring smooth patient flow. Responsibilities include:

  • Greeting and rooming patients, collecting vitals and chief complaints
  • Assisting with treatments, procedures, and medications (including injections)
  • Managing administrative tasks: scheduling, calls, prescriptions, and follow-ups
  • Maintaining accurate records and test results
  • Ensuring a clean, stocked, and safe clinic environment
  • Supporting provider efficiency and patient satisfaction
  • Attending trainings and meetings as needed

Requirements

Skills & Abilities:

  • Friendly, professional demeanor with strong communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and adapt quickly
  • Team-oriented with a commitment to confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
  • Comfortable with standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prior medical experience or training preferred
  • CPR certification
  • Proficiency with computers and EMR systems
