Job Description

HMT Tank is looking for a Hole Watch/Fire Watch to perform or assist in general site work. The Hole Watch/Fire Watch must be able to perform required duties in varying weather conditions for extended periods of time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•    Good communicator with Foreman and crew 

•    Meet minimum PPE requirements required by HMT and customer: 

o    Proper eye protection 

o    Hard hat 

o    Steel toe safety boots 

o    FR clothing 

o    Hearing protection and gloves when required 

o    Any other PPE required by the situation 

•    Willing to learn and show competency with operation of air monitoring equipment 

•    Maintain operational paperwork for the position: 

o    Air Monitor Bump Test Log 

o    Confined Space Entry Log 

o    Fire Extinguisher Inspection Log 

o    More 

•    Assist Foreman with daily safety paperwork: 

o    JSA 

o    Safe Work Checklist 

o    Take notes during tailgate meetings 

•    Work in extreme weather situations, including heat and cold 

•    Stand for long periods of time 

•    Climb ladders and stairs 

•    Willing to sweep, lift materials, and organize welding leads, cords, and hoses 

•    Spot for mobile equipment as needed 

Required Qualifications:

•    Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to the East Coast

•    Must be able to read and write in English
