Job Description


Newspaper Reporter

The Lewistown News-Argus is looking for a full-time general assignment reporter to provide coverage for its print edition, digital platforms and social media channels.

The reporter’s primary focus will be covering a variety of events in Lewistown, Montana, and the surrounding communities.   

The reporter reports to the editor of the Lewistown newspaper.

Essential skills and experience

  • Strong English language skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with digital platforms and social media strategy are important.
  • Community engagement experience – in person and on social networks, being a professional ambassador for the news organization in the community.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Photography skills preferred.
