Job Description

The Center for Human Development, (CHD) is seeking Direct Care Staff to join our at our Community Integration Services (CIS) residential program in Hartford, CT. Our direct care staff establish life-changing relationships with our participants and provide opportunities to optimize their independence, rehabilitation and recovery.

This is an ALL MALE CLIENT and ALL MALE STAFF group home. The CIS program supports high risk, dually diagnosed men requiring 24/7 supervision, including those on the Sex Offender Registry or transitioning from long term hospitalization. Services are tailored to individual needs, with the goal of enabling independent community living. Staff provide education and support to improve ADL’s, social engagement, wellness and coping skills for a healthy lifestyle. We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Staff to join our team in providing essential care for individuals with complex behavioral needs, including those exhibiting challenging sexual behaviors. 

REQUIRMENTS:

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Experience working with psychiatric disorders or co-occurring population preferred
  • Reliable, registered & insured vehicle and approved driving record check.
  • Approved criminal background check

SCHEDULE:

2nd shift, 2:00pm-10:00pm. Days on: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Days off: Sunday and Monday.
