ABOUT THE ROLE

The production winder operates and troubleshoots equipment, prepares materials for production, and selects the appropriate materials based on the production schedule. Pay Rate: $23.32. 

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Operating machine tool, chemical processing, assembly, or packaging equipment to manufacture products according to production specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards
  • Moving, packing, and sorting raw materials or finished goods
  • Monitoring the quality of output to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products
  • Maintaining accurate daily production records as input to manufacturing performance analysis
  • Other duties as assigned

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Education: High school diploma or 1-2 years vocational training/associate degree

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Indoor dusty, non-temperature controlled industrial manufacturing and warehouse environment. Subject to varying cold and hot temperatures and occasional outdoor activities in hot or adverse weather.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds including use of lifting assistance devices
  • Ability to stand for extended period of time
  • Ability to kneel, bend, reach and stoop, twist, squat, and kneel as required
  • Ability to operate mobile equipment as required

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
