Position Summary
The Billing & Collections Specialist is responsible for accurate invoicing, timely collections, and maintaining healthy accounts receivable within a fast-paced freight brokerage environment. This entry-level, in-office role supports cash flow and minimizes financial risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and send customer invoices with supporting documents (POD, BOL, rate confirmations)
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on past-due balances
- Communicate with customers and brokers to resolve billing issues
- Maintain records of collection activity
- Assist with identifying credit risks and escalating concerns
- Support month-end and reporting processes
Key Performance Indicators
- Timeliness and accuracy of invoicing
- Reduction of past-due balances
- Collection success rate
- Resolution time for billing disputes
Qualifications
- Entry-level candidates welcome
