About the Role:

The Grinder plays a critical role in the manufacturing and fabrication process by ensuring that metal components meet precise specifications and quality standards. This position involves the skilled use of various grinding and finishing tools to remove excess material, deburr edges, and achieve smooth, accurate surfaces on stainless steel and other metals. The Grinder must pay close Attention to detail and be precision and maintain consistency and prevent defects in the final product. Ultimately, the role supports production efficiency and product reliability by delivering components that meet or exceed customers requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• experience in grinding, deburring, and finishing metal parts a plus but not mandatory.
• Ability to read 
• Proficiency in using hand tools, measuring instruments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in machining or metal fabrication.
• Experience working specifically with stainless steel materials.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing quality control processes.
• Previous experience in a high-volume production environment.

Responsibilities:

• Operate hand tools, to grind, trim, and finish metal parts according to specifications.
• Perform deburring and smoothing of steel castings to remove sharp edges and imperfections.
• Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to all safety protocols and quality standards.

Skills:

The required skills such as deburring, hand tool operation, and precision measuring are essential for daily tasks that involve shaping and finishing metal parts to exact specifications. Reading allows the Grinder to understand the detailed requirements and tolerances necessary for each component, ensuring accuracy and quality. Operating a table saw machine enables efficient and consistent material removal and shaping. Preferred skills like CNC programming and knowledge of quality control enhance the ability to troubleshoot and optimize production processes. Together, these skills ensure that the Grinder can produce high-quality parts that meet engineering standards while maintaining safety and efficiency.
