Shift Availability
Full Time: Saturday-Wednesday, 7:30am-4pm
Summary
We are seeking a diligent and compassionate Housekeeper to join our team. The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and safety of the entire facility, including patient rooms, common areas, and clinical spaces. This role is vital for infection control and ensuring a respectful, comfortable environment for our patients and staff.
Responsibilities
Thoroughly clean and sanitize all patient rooms, common areas (lounges, dining areas), offices, and restrooms according to schedule.
Perform specialized terminal cleaning of patient rooms upon discharge and follow all established infection control protocols.
Collect and properly dispose of general trash, recycling, and regulated medical/biohazard waste.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish all floor and surface areas.
Manage laundry services, including changing and distributing patient linens and towels. Restock all facility supplies (e.g., soap, paper towels) as needed.
Monitor the facility for safety hazards, damage, or needed repairs, and report issues immediately to the supervisor.
Ensure the safe use and storage of all cleaning chemicals in compliance with safety standards (OSHA).
Interact with patients, visitors, and staff in a professional and respectful manner, maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
QualificationsQualifications
High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
A minimum of 1 year of experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or environmental services, preferably in a healthcare, hospital, or residential facility setting.
Knowledge of infection control procedures and proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
Must pass mandatory pre-employment screenings, including background checks and health screenings.
