Job Description

MoMA is seeking an administrative assistant to join the membership team to create a highly positive customer service experience for Museum members that supports retention, engagement, repeat visitation, and member event attendance. The Administrative Assistant, Membership will provide critical support of membership lifecycle communications and events and perform a variety of administrative functions.

Responsibilities: 

  • Oversees membership remote customer service channels, including telephone and email. Works proficiently in ZenDesk to accurately categorize and organize member requests for reporting purposes.
  • Efficiently and effectively completes membership renewal transactions 
  • Work across departments on the implementation of new features to enhance the membership customer service experience
  • Maintains professional and helpful communication across all channels. Ensure a warm and supportive customer service experience for all Museum members.
  • Remains current on Museum exhibitions, films, educational programs, and marketing campaigns. 
  • Communicates across departments to resolve customer service inquiries.
  • Maintains the accuracy of the Membership database.
  • Supports the development and maintenance of member lifecycle communications and testing plans to increase member engagement and value.
  • Supports onsite and virtual member event planning and execution.
  • Performs special membership category registration and fulfillment.
  • Performs additional duties as reasonably required to support the functions described above.

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • One to two years professional experience within a development, membership, or subscription product organization.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly detail-oriented with superior writing and proofreading skills.
  • Experience with ZenDesk and Salesforce or other CRM is a plus.
  • Proficiency using technology, including mobile devices, Google workspace, point of sale software, and more.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
  • An interest in modern and contemporary art is a plus.

Reports to: Manager, Member Retention and Engagement

Salary: The salary for this position is $55,822 per annum.
