Description

Job purpose

Nature of the position involves assisting, under moderate supervision, in the packaging, labeling and kitting of both subassembly and finished good products. In addition, Packaging Technicians are responsible for preparing formula-locked reagents and general use laboratory buffers. Packaging Technicians are encouraged to generate and act on ideas to improve such processes.

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Packaging and labeling of reagents
  • Kitting finished good products
  • Solution preparation for formula-locked reagents and general use laboratory buffers
  • Generating ideas to improve processes and product quality
  • Must comply with all company policies, procedures, internal and external quality standards, and relevant regulatory standards
  • Must effectively communicate with others, be approachable, have a positive and flexible attitude, and display a strong work ethic
  • Any other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

  • High school diploma OR GED
  • Good teamwork and effective communication skills
  • Must be comfortable performing repetitive tasks with a high attention to detail
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Desired qualifications:

  • Skilled in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience in an ISO 14971, ISO 13485, and/or FDA regulated environment
  • Experience working in lab using aseptic technique
  • Familiar with Lean Six Sigma principles
