Job Description

Join our Welding Department as a Spot-Welding Machine Operator / Assembler where you’ll help produce metal components used in a variety of manufactured products. In this role, you’ll operate spot-welding and assembly equipment to attach hardware and components to metal stamped parts while helping keep production moving safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Shifts Available:

  • Shift 21: 6:00am – 6:00pm, Friday – Sunday (+$3.50/hour shift differential)

Starting Rate of Pay:

  • $19.25 - $20.80 per hour base rate depending on experience.
What You’ll Do
  • Operate spot-welding and assembly machines to attach hardware and components according to production specifications
  • Set up and configure spot-welding and assembly jobs with assistance as needed
  • Inspect parts for weld quality, alignment, and print specifications
  • Monitor machine performance and report equipment or quality concerns
  • Replace worn electrodes and tips as needed
  • Record production activity and job progress in the ERP system
  • Work from blueprints, work instructions, and inspection requirements
  • Experience in a manufacturing or assembly role preferred, but not required
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in welding and assembly
  • Ability to learn and perform equipment setups, identify and clear faults, and use inspection gauges
  • Basic computer skills

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Occasional lifting up to 65lbs
  • Bend, reach, and handle parts throughout the shift
  • Frequent handling of parts and machine components
  • Required PPE: eye protection, hearing protection, MET guard safety shoes
