Job Description
ECS is seeking a Financial Analyst (Basic) to support the Missile Defense Agency's Aegis-Based Defense program in Dahlgren, VA.
The successful candidate will function as a member of a financial team supporting one of the Aegis-Based Program Offices. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare funding documents using the DAI Finance & Accounting System.
- Maintain accounting log (log/status for all funding documents).
- Conduct financial execution, record keeping, and analysis.
- Reconcile DAI/1002 status.
- Generate financial reports.
- Reconcile unliquidated obligations (ULOs).
- Resolve unmatched disbursements (UMDs).
- Build dormant account review - quarterly (DAR-Q) reports.
- Conducts year-end closeout of expiring funds.
- Resolves DAI/PRIDE system errors (document issues /status inaccuracies/monitor help desk tickets).
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Either have, or the ability to obtain, a DoD secret clearance.
- Associates' or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
