Purpose:

Texas Athletics Business Office is looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Business Analytics and Integrations Intern for the Fall of 2026. Designed for students interested in a career in software engineering and data analytics, the Business Analytics and Integrations Intern will assist in the daily operations of the business office, focusing on writing Python modules for process automation and data integrations. The employee will continue to expand their knowledge of the industry and contribute to the efficiency of the department. The employee will report to the Director of Enterprise Data Integrations and Analytics and the Business Process Analyst roles.

Responsibilities:

  • Software Development – design Python modules for process automation and data integrations.
  • Use GitHub for version control and collaboration.
  • Write procedures and maintain comprehensive documentation.
  • Aid with the organization of tasks and projects.
  • Design and implement dynamic Business Intelligence data reports.
  • Support the Director of Enterprise Data Integrations and Analytics.
  • Assist the Business Process Analyst roles.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Demonstrate strong interest and passion for Texas Athletics
  • Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student at The University of Texas at Austin
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in software engineering, business analytics, or business intelligence
  • Desire to work in intercollegiate athletics

Salary Range:

  • $9.00+/hour depending on qualifications/relevant experience.

Working Conditions:

  • Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation
  • May work around standard office conditions
  • Some heavy lifting and moving up to 50lbs. may be required

Work Shift:

  • Fall 2026 (Rehire eligible based on performance)
  • Work will be performed in-person, on campus
  • Flexible hours around class schedule
