Job Description

This second shift Glue Mixer position makes the glue for the gluing process.  This position will administer glue spread checks every hour and maintains a quality check log; responsible for maintaining 5S in the glue loft area, holding tank area and the surrounding area. Performs minor maintenance and PMs in the glue mixer area; takes inventories and places orders for gluing materials; ensures that the proper kanban levels are maintained.  The Glue Mixer participates in glue studies and trials.  The person in this role works closely with both Spreader and Press crews on improving quality and maintaining process controls.  Role participates and initiates problem solving related to quality and the gluing process.

Occasionally fills in for operators during absences.  Responsibilities require driving forklift to move gluing materials and load flour.

This position requires you to follow written and verbal job instructions. Being able to provide feedback and apply critical thinking are other keys to this position.  You must be able to lift on average a minimum of 65 pounds.
