SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

The Patch Sewer is responsible for stitching and sewing leather details into create Chrome Hearts’ apparel.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Prepare work to be accomplished by gathering and sorting materials
• Prepare machine by changing needles and thread, securing attachments
• Adjust machine performance on material by observing machine operation; detecting malfunctions; adjusting settings
• Maintain quality by inspecting finished product
• Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions and calling for repairs
• Place spools of thread, cord, or other materials on spindles
• Proficient at sewing using a single needle sewing machine
• Works within set time constraints to complete sewing tasks
• Maintain a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive routine
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and follow safety protocols
• Contribute to the teams’ efforts by accomplishing related results as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least one-year experience in single needle machine operation (manufacturing) preferred
• Previous experience with high end luxury clothing preferred
• Familiarity with sewing machine set up and fabric sewing
• Candidates are expected to learn all responsibilities in an adequate time frame
• Must be able to work well with others and have excellent communication skills
• Must possess basic measuring skills
• Ability to sew according to design specifications sheets
• Ability to handle a physical workload
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Eager to take on responsibility with a personal sense of accountability
• Perform work in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and laws or regulations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position operates in a warehouse and office environment. This role routinely uses a single needle sewing machine.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time, some walking. Employees are regularly required to talk and/or hear. Employees will be expected to repeat much of the physical motions throughout the shift that may include use of their feet, legs, arms, wrists, hands and/or fingers. This work will involve a variety of hand operations requiring a high degree of manual dexterity and close visual attention. The employee must be able to carry and/or lift up to 25 lbs if needed.

The pay range for this role is:

20.50 - 20.50 USD per hour (Hollywood, CA)
