Job Description

Trust Design Research & Reflection Associate

(Systems Thinking + Synthesis + Emerging Framework Support)

Time Period

September 1-October 24, 2026

~8 hrs/wk

This Service Leadership Work-Study (SLWS) position offers students the opportunity to serve and learn alongside the 2026 Social Innovator in Residence, Antionette Priscilla Carroll. This position is not designed to replace or replicate the responsibilities of trained personnel. Instead, it emphasizes learning through civic engagement, inquiry, reflection, and systemic analysis. Student will be supervised by Vicki Nolton in the CLS and will be mentored by Antionette Priscilla Carroll. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist with thematic synthesis of conversations and observations
  • Help organize emerging Trust Design concepts and language
  • Support literature/resource gathering related to trust, mistrust, dialogue, belonging, and design
  • Help track reflections and patterns across residency activities
  • Assist in documenting emerging methodologies and facilitation insights
  • Participate in reflective conversations and systems mapping
Qualifications

  • Interest in social theory, systems thinking, design research, anthropology, religious studies, political science, psychology, or qualitative inquiry
  • Strong writing and reflection skills
  • Curiosity about emerging frameworks and interdisciplinary thinking
