Description

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep, repair, and overall maintenance of our facility and equipment. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, facility repairs, cleaning duties, and assisting with maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while responding quickly to maintenance needs throughout the facility. 

Requirements

  Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

• Perform general facility maintenance and repair tasks. 
• Complete minor repair work, including doors, locks, door frames, handles, light fixtures, switches, outlets, and window glass repairs or replacements. 
• Perform basic plumbing repairs, including unclogging drains, fixing leaking faucets, and repairing toilets. 
• Inspect and troubleshoot electrical wiring, control panels, and facility equipment to identify issues requiring immediate attention. 
• Conduct preventative maintenance on machinery, tools, and facility equipment to minimize downtime. 
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, emergency repairs, and clean-up situations. 
• Perform regular cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal. 
• Remove trash and recyclable materials and ensure disposal areas remain clean and organized. 
• Maintain outdoor areas, including mowing, trimming, edging, snow removal, and general groundskeeping as needed. 
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and cleaning equipment. 
• Monitor building systems and report any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions to management. 
• Oversee and assist contracted vendors while work is being performed on-site. 
• Maintain inventory of maintenance and cleaning supplies and notify the Supervisor when supplies are low. 
• Ensure all maintenance equipment is properly maintained and in safe working condition. 
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures. 
• Attend required safety meetings, training sessions, and staff meetings. 
• Prepare and maintain accurate maintenance, repair, and cleaning records. 

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required. 
• Previous maintenance or facilities experience preferred. 
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, and general building maintenance. 
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment. 
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. 
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. 
• Good communication and teamwork skills. 
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities. 
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy objects as required. 
• Ability to stand, bend, climb, and work in various indoor and outdoor environments. 
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. 

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift and move materials up to 50 pounds. 
• Ability to work on ladders and perform physical labor for extended periods. 
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments, both indoors and outdoors.
